Inspired by the designs of major Victorian and Edwardian producers, Lost Art Limited offer a particularly interesting version of the ornamental gameproof fencing.  Originally advertised as providing protection from a variety of plant-eating animals such as rabbits and therefore suitable for the 19th Century kitchen garden.  These styles of wrought iron  hurdles were also deemed appropriate for pleasure grounds, enclosing flower beds, shrubberies and ornamental waters, therefore adding a decorative option to their functional intent.

Based on variations offered by both William Cooper and Bayliss, Harding and Bayliss, perhaps the most significant manufacturers of garden furnishings of this type, our interpretation offers an intricate design, similar to patterns 24, 696 and 698.  In contrast to many designs, the panels feature two layers of hoops, with each pattern bridging 2 others but with the lower level also including 3 of the top layer uprights, providing a greater deterrent to foraging herbivores.

The sections are sized as follows:

Height = 1090mm : Width = 1930mm

These items are not to be confused with apparently similar but low specification items.  Our products are electroplated prior to powder coating, providing 2 levels of corrosion inhibition and therefore an extended life and lower maintenance requirement.

Gameproof fencing is finished with a tough powder coating finish in Black.

Price includes fixings (nuts and bolts) and backstays as required.
