RECREATED GATES
MAIN GATES, SOUTH PARK, DARLINGTON
Park gates containing wrought and cast iron sections with gilding to highlight sections. Produced and installed by Lost ARt Limited for South Park, Darlington

A significant problem affecting many restoration and regeneration works is where original features have been removed or destroyed prior to the start of the project. The images above and below show gates produced by Lost Art from historical archive material such as photographs and drawings.

In addition to background research, Lost Art were also involved in the production of working drawings, construction of the gates, gilding with 24 carat gold leaf and installation of the gates.
