SMITHILLS HALL

BOLTON

Set in an extensive estate, the Grade I listed Smithills Hall is one of the earliest and most important examples of a Lancashire manor house, which has recently had additional rooms restored to their full splendour through a £1.8 million renovation scheme. The house mirrors the changes in fashion and living conditions from the late 14th to the late 19th century, having been developed and altered by generations of owners.

Given the importance and heritage attached to the setting, quality and historic authenticity are of paramount importance when selecting contractors and approving their work.

Lost Art have have recently provided a number of design, construction, restoration and installation services for the highly regarded restoration project at Smithills Hall and estate.

Main estate gates, repaired by Lost Art
Estate fencing, designed, produced and installed.
Game proof fencing installed to protect the formally planted garden outside the hall.
Reproduction gate, produced and installed.

The Smithills memorial bench, designed produced and installed by Lost Art. Complementary picnic tables were also a part of this commission.

Possibly our strangest item yet produced - a replica horse-drawn coal wagon. We also installed the railway lines for this exhibit.
